- What happens after I submit a sunrise application?
What is the next step?
When Sunrise closes, Identity Digital will determine if there are multiple applications for the same domain name. If there is only one valid application for a domain, the domain will be awarded to that applicant. If there are two or more valid applications for a domain, those applicants will be invited to participate in a closed auction. The domain will be awarded to the auction winner after payment is received.
Once a domain is awarded to an applicant after the Sunrise phase, it goes into a “Sunrise Lock” for a minimum of 60 days to allow parties to file Sunrise Challenges. Domains in Sunrise Lock cannot be updated, transferred, or deleted.
