Tell us about your role and responsibilities at Donuts.

I joined Donuts in October as the Senior Manager, European Business Development. My main role at Donuts is to establish and manage all of our key accounts within Europe. I work very closely with the rest of the Donuts team to make sure we develop strong partnerships,  execute effective campaigns, market analysis and case studies.

How did you get into the domain name industry?

That’s a great questions. Had someone told me beforehand that I would end up working in the domain name industry I would have never believed it!

It all started 5 years ago when I went to play Padel (a racket sport, that it is played in pairs) and I met a woman who was working in this industry. We spoke for a long time about her job, about mine, and they had an open sales position. I was in a completely different industry, but at the time I was ready for a new challenge and decided to enter the domains world. It’s been exciting and I’ve never looked back!

Where do you live and work?

I currently live in Matadepera, Catalonia (Spain). This is a small village with a beautiful view of the mountains. There are many local shops close by, and when I need to escape the quiet it’s an easy trip to the crazy and beautiful city of Barcelona!

I am home office-based and I have a dedicated space where all my creativity comes from!

What do you love about working for Donuts so far?

I am happy to say that the collaborative environment at Donuts is amazing. There is a genuine spirit of cooperation, shared goals and visions, and I believe this truly creates a family environment where everybody is there for each other. I also feel I am working with an experienced and knowledgeable team to learn from I can learn, and that will push me to take on new and challenging opportunities.

What will be your biggest challenge, or shall we say, opportunity?

I can already see a few challenges ahead, but I am motivated by them as I think those are important and will take part of my development and growing experience. Hopefully I will be able to convert these challenges into opportunities.

What is your favorite domain extension and why?

I don’t have just one favourite domain extension yet. There are several domain extensions that I really like; .services, .life, .travel and .solutions. These TLDs and so many others allow any business to innovate with a cool, short and differentiating name! Why use a generic legacy top-level domain when you can create your own, specific and unique name?

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra that motivates you? If so, will you share it with us?

I do! I have a couple I really like and I use each one in different occasions; for work, personal life and even with my family and friends! With so many things happening in our day-to-day life I always think that having a mantra helps me focus more on my inspirations and dreams. One of my favourites is: I can and I will. Watch me.”

If you could take a vacation tomorrow, where would you go and why?

If I could take a vacation tomorrow I would go to Peru. I think this buzzing country has a lot to offer and it’s probably one of the most diverse and dramatic countries in South America, providing spectacular landscape, rich biodiversity, ancient history, delicious food and living culture.
