Go to articleDownload PDF

This accessibility plan outlines the policies and actions Identity Digital has in place for its Ontario team over a multi-year period to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities in alignment with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.

Statement of Commitment

Identity Digital is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity for individuals throughout their tenure at Identity Digital. This includes job application, interviewing, and professional development processes.

We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility. We communicate with people with disabilities in ways that consider their disability.

Accessible Emergency Information

We are committed to providing publicly available emergency information in an accessible way upon request to our customers and clients. Additionally, team members with disabilities will receive individualized emergency response information as required by AODA.

Training

We will provide training to team members, volunteers, and other staff members on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided to all team members annually as part of our annual Anti-Harassment and Diversity Inclusion, and Belonging requirements.

Information and Communications

We are committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. We will consult with people with disabilities to determine their information and communication needs and provide accessible formats in a timely manner.

Identity Digital will monitor the creation of any new Internet websites and content, including those Internet websites undergoing a significant refresh, and as applicable, will make those websites conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA as required by AODA.

Employment

Identity Digital is committed to accessible employment practices and removing any barriers that prevent or hinder the recruitment, retention, and career development of team members with disabilities. We take the following steps to ensure compliance with AODA.

We will take the following steps to notify the public and staff that, when requested, Identity Digital will accommodate people with disabilities during the recruitment and assessment processes and when people are hired.

  • Notify our team members, potential candidates, and the public (including via our recruitment website) that Identity Digital accommodates people with disabilities as required by law at all times during the recruitment and selection process and during the course of employment, including making such information available in accessible formats.
  • The People Team and Leadership Team will be trained as needed with respect to accommodations for persons with disabilities to ensure that the needs of team members with disabilities are considered in performance management and career development processes and strategies.
  • Identity Digital will ensure its continuing commitment to developing individual accommodation and return-to-work plans whenever appropriate.

Public Spaces

Identity Digital will fulfill its AODA accessibility obligations in collaboration with office building management to ensure that meeting rooms and other areas are accessible. If any changes to the space are made, we will work with designers, engineers, and property managers to meet all necessary requirements.

Modification of the Plan

This plan will be reviewed and updated by Identity Digital at least every five years. At the time of revision, information regarding any new accessibility policies and practices adopted by Identity Digital will be included in the revised plan.
